My Story

Dom Cappelluti is the lead instructor and president of Street Stategies LLC. With 28 years of law enforcement experience, Dom has worked interview rooms and conducted thousands of interviews and interrogations as a senior detective for a large Illinois police department and a multi-jurisdictional homicide task force. As an expert in the field, Dom has created a “bulletproof” interviewing approach that will help protect today’s interviewers, their agencies, and the confession.

Dom has developed various courses across the U.S. to meet statewide police training mandates and requirements. He has become a well-recognized speaker throughout the law enforcement training community on topics such as gang suppression, homicide investigations, cultivating confidential informants, courtroom testimony, street interviewing, interview and interrogation, and much more. Dom enjoys attacking fake news and turning the spotlight back in the face of today’s biased media, when reporting on ethical no-nonsense interviewing skills practiced today.

Having been targeted in a large-scale murder-for-hire plot on his own life, Dom has vowed to share his experiences and passion for training tomorrow’s great interviewers. Dom has devoted his life to helping protect good cops, interviewers’ rights, and Freedom of Information Act violations.
